Ad-blockers have become a must-have for anyone who spends time online, and it makes sense. There’s nothing more annoying than an obnoxiously loud video that drops in front of you as you’re about to read an article. Ad blockers are free, easy to install, and they make browsing faster. This week, the social media giant said it will still show ads even when there’s an ad blocker present. In a blog post the company said that it put more tools in place for users who want to block certain ads. But even as more controls are given to its users, the company said it will “also begin showing ads on Facebook desktop for people who currently use ad blocking software.” Translation: If you’ve got an ad-blocker, it’s not going to work on Facebook.
